Autumn school holidays program for high-school aged youth

On the first Friday of the Autumn school holidays, we’re planning to run a one-off holiday program for high-school aged youth (12-18 year olds). We hope it will be an afternoon of fun, food, friendship and exploring faith through the first episode of the ‘VOX’ series (see below).

  • Time: 2-5pm
  • Date: Friday, 19th April
  • Venue: Holy Trinity Anglican Church Cressy (110 Main Street)
  • Registration: To sign up your child, please print out and fill out a registration form and either bring it with you on the day, or email it to Mark Barry: mark @ christchurchlongford.com.au
  • More info: Contact Mark via email: mark @ christchurchlongford.com.au

Youth Group | 3-17 May

If we get enough interest in the holiday program, we’ll continue with the 4-week VOX course over the first three Friday evenings of second term, i.e. 3, 10 & 17 of May.

  • Time: 7-9pm
  • Date: Friday evenings
  • Venue: Holy Trinity Anglican Church Cressy (110 Main Street)

VOX course

What’s life all about? Where do I belong? How can I find meaning and purpose? And what’s that all got to do with Christianity?

Vox is an opportunity to listen in to honest conversations about things that matter.

Our camera crew follows six young people as they head to a location in the middle of nowhere so they can get back to the basics of life and the Christian faith.

Over four episodes, we join these young people as they open up the Bible to explore Christianity and find out what God has to say about himself, about us, and about life here on earth.

We listen to their conversations as they wrestle with their own questions, and share what matters to them.

Safe Church Communities (SCC)

We want our church communities to be safe places where all people can encounter the love of God in Christ. Every church must reflect the values of respect and honour that are taught to us in the Bible. All ministry – especially with children – requires absolute trustworthiness. We are committed to ministering safely through the ongoing evaluation of our people, our places and our programs.

As such, all of our youth group leaders have been screened, hold a current Working with Vulnerable People Card, have completed the Faithfulness in Service course, and are accredited with the Childsafe training program.
